Budo

My martial arts history spans 14 years now, on both sides of this continent. I currently train with the group at Bujinkan Tohoku Dojo here in Poughkeepsie, NY. The style is also known as Ninjutsu (although we tend to stay away from that term because "there is no such thing as ninjas" ;-))

I'm lucky enough over the past two years to be working with a great group of young women in the dojo. This class has recently opened to welcome women of all ages. One of the few martial arts classes taught in the Hudson Valley for women by a woman. It's my goal to help all my students learn more about themselves and to explore their innate abilities.



Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu includes nine different ryu-ha taught under the direction of Soke Masaaki Hatsumi. (Hatsumi Sensei.) I'm lucky enough to travel up to twice a year with a group from my local dojo to Noda-shi, Japan (just NE of Tokyo,) to train with Hatsumi Sensei and some of the Shihan (senior students.)
